Design-Bid-Build at Chief Construction
With this project delivery method, the project owner holds separate contracts for design and construction. This method has three main sequential phases, the design phase, the bidding phase and the construction phase.
Considerations in using the Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) delivery method:
Chief Construction will review the design plans and work with the architect to receive any needed clarity on the project to create a feasible schedule.
Chief Construction will plan and coordinate the construction phases to ensure that the schedule is aligning with the design phases.
The design-bid-build method allows Chief Construction to review the designs once they are completed, allowing for the team to plan based on the agreed-upon design.
Chief Construction will collaborate with the owner to determine the sub-contractors on the project based on quality and project bids.
