Project Overview
The new facility took the place of a nearly 50-year-old prior school building that was in dire need of replacement. The old school building was demolished and the new building stands in the same area as the previous building. The new building houses 7 classrooms, one of which has an operable partition that can be drawn to turn the area into two separate spaces. The South side of the building contains the offices for the Secretary, Father, and Religious Education Director, as well as a conference room. Also on the South side of the building, there is a Multi-Purpose room that can be utilized for multiple functions.
There is a full cooking kitchen with adjacent pantry, a fellowship hall that will seat 300 people and two approximately 1500 SF mezzanines (one on each end of the building) that are used for storage and also contain the HVAC equipment for the building. There are two sets of Men’s and Women’s Restrooms. One set is dedicated to the educational side of the building and one set is dedicated to the office and Fellowship Hall. When they are holding large events, such as their bizarre, they can open the areas up so both sets of restrooms can be utilized.
The exterior of the building was designed so the brick, roof color, and roof panel profile would match the existing Catholic Church which is directly East of this new building. All exterior windows and doors are aluminum frames with insulated and tinted Low-E glass.
